As a professional wedding photographer, I understand that your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and I am committed to capturing every precious moment with glowy, joyful, and timeless photos. So I mean it when I say...
I would trust the women on my team with my own wedding day.
My associate team isn't just people I think that can take good photos. They're faithful women, with hearts and businesses centered around Jesus Christ, who are committed to praying for you, your future spouse, and your future marriage.
It has been the greatest joy to share in their stories, lives, and work.
what is an associate?
An associate photographer on my team is a handpicked talented and trusted photographer who will accompany you on the day of your wedding to capture memories with you, while I take care of your inquiries, contracts, messaging, building your customized timeline, editing and delivering your beautiful wedding photo album.
These women have gone through multiple interviews, test shoots/portfolio analysis, testimony sharing, hours of training with me, and have committed taking a permanent position on my team. They shoot the same elevated, joyfully Catholic images, using nearly identical equipment and have years of experience in their craft.
Who is on the associate team?
Our associate shooters are handpicked Christian/Catholic professionals who share my passion for creating stunning, heartfelt images that you will cherish forever.
After our Discovery Call, you will be placed with a member of our amazing team who will be in the loop through the entire process as they prepare for your wedding day. Becuase my team has all been trained to create one cohesive experience, associates are primarily matched with couples based on location and availability. OUR WORK
Since I no longer shoot weddings, almost 100% of the work you see on our website and social media is the work of my team! My hope is that we create one cohesive brand, experience, and sacredness. Even the sessions I still do from time to time are touched by my editors and media manager. We do this all together!
FAQs
Why did you decide to expand your team? As I go on Catholic mission these next few years, I wanted to continue to offer an intentional and prayerful wedding photography experience across Kansas, Nebraska, and the Midwest. You can read more about this in the "About Me" section of my website! I am excited to introduce you to my team!
Will my associate photographer be Catholic? While not all of my associates are Catholic, most are! The few that are not are devoutly Christian, have shared their testimony and faith conversion with me personally, and have ample experience shooting Catholic Weddings. I go through an extensive training process with each individual associate where we walk through every single moment of the mass and discuss where they should be standing, sitting or kneeling, and what photos to capture, and most importantly *why* these photos are important and what these moments mean. Because being Catholic is a part of my life and brand, all of my associates are contractually obligated to pray for the couples that they are shooting with and for, with specific prayers and rosaries, which they agree to before I officially onboard and hire them. They are asked to pray for our couples through the intercession of St. Veronica and St. Joseph, asking the Lord to guide their hands and camera to shoot through His eyes and tell the story He desires. If you have any questions about this, I would love to walk you through it more!
How do you vet your associates? How can we trust their quality? To be a part of my associate team, I request that my associate submit a bio, raw files from samples for me to test and edit, and they go through an interview with me before I officially book them any clients. They then go through an extensive training process where I walk them through our cadence of shooting, communication style throughout each part of the day, and technical settings for their equipment, including shutter speed, f-stop, aperture, flash settings, focal lengths for mass, dancing, and portraits, and prompting vs. posing. Almost all of my associates have second shot weddings with me before, and I educate them on my style, vision, aperture and shutter, speed, preferences, and specific parts of the day that I capture. While I am selective about who I interview for this position, even out of those I interview, some aren't the right fit! The Samantha Kopecky Photography experience is incredibly important to me and I strive to maintain the upmost quality and value in my team. Basically: We get to know each other REAL well before they have ever shot a wedding for our team. :))
Wait but who edits the photos? I and my professional wedding editor (who I work with for almost all of my weddings) will be editing 100% of the photos from your wedding day. This ensures that your wedding day imagery has a consistent look, feel, and vision to the work we create, while still having the unique memories that make your day special. Every single photo my editor edits touches my hands before coming to you! This means that not ONE pair of eyes edits your photos, but TWO, which ensures nothing is missed. I usually take a few hours with each album to touch up anything that needs it, then send it on its way!
